Carter’s life is chugging right along. Career? Check. Living with the love of his life? Check. Future on track? Not so fast. Suddenly, his perfect life is thrown upside down when Justine’s accident wipes her memories. She doesn’t remember that they’re in love and Carter has to do everything he can to help her regain her memory or his own Happily-Ever-After is in jeopardy.
Do you ever want to know what the hero of a romance novel is thinking? Where Just Add Heat tells Justine’s story, Baby It’s Cold Outside gives you Carter’s version of the same events. It’s true what they say; men and women don’t think in the same way. The difference is all in the perspective!
This is the companion book to Just Add Heat, but the story stands alone.

I thought this book was boring as heck. His girlfriend falls and hits her head, she loses her memories of the last 2 years. He is in love with her but it seems like she could barely stand him 2 years ago and is really put out that he is in her space and house now. He is only trying to help her get her memories of him back.I thought it was boring. It seems like we had to go thru every thought he had, every action he took, etc. Most of those were so mundane to even be mentioned. He goes to the hospital cafeteria, his soup is bland, he adds salt and pepper, he can't taste it, etc. Just on and on about nothing. There was just something missing.
It was written from a male POV, so maybe that was it!! Men just don't have that many thoughts worth repeating???? I don't know what it was but I was just so bored looking for something to get excited about that I just gave up. I'm not sure where this story could have gone, she didn't remember that she loved him and felt he was in her space and she would like him out. He loves her and wants her back to her old self but has no idea how to help her. Time is what they need, but unfortunately the dull dialogue while we are waiting just drug on for me. Others seemed to enjoy the story so I would suggest reading it for yourself and then deciding. For me, it just didn't work. I did give up after he got her home from the hospital so maybe things pick up. I just didn't want to spend any more time hoping.

Baby It Cold Outside Romance From a Male POV Fire Ice Book 2 edition by Genevieve Jourdin Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Baby, It's Cold Outside is a story that is written from a male perspective in a relationship.
This story was very interesting since a guy is telling us about his relationship with his girlfriend. Seeing through his eyes was very different than what you might expect. Carter shares what his life is like with his girlfriend, Justine before and after she has an accident that takes away all of her memories of them being together.
Will he be able to win her over and make her remember what they mean to each other?
You must take to time to learn about Carter and Justine.
I'd probably never read and write a review for this book and affect on its rating negatively, if was not suggested it by someone who thought I'd like this. So, mainly my review is directed to one person. Hope that's OK here.
I honestly have nothing to say about the book, but that it felt like a teenager was given an essay to write for title IT"S COLD OUTSIDE and her screwed up teenage imagination made something else out of it, that she'd not show to anyone, but years later would decide to publish anyway. I never thought a book could be so easy, fast read and so boring same time. Did not bother to waste time on reading what was ten years ago, though few pages were left to finish the book. That's how uninteresting was to me. And this is second book in series? So there must be first and probably, third and more. Not even interested to check out after this one.
Yes, just not my cup of tee, AT ALL! Sorry...
A cute story, a cute perspective, not the most scintillating dialogue or compelling writing but it was a fast read.
Carter was all over the place, from confusion to certainty, and it made me want to reach in and slap him. It was most definitely written from a man's pov, I had no concept of what Justine was feeling at any time. There was hardly ever a moment when Carter just contemplated what Justine was thinking...just for her sake and not in reference to HIS needs.
A few too many grammatical and electronic errors, too. Still, bought the other book, Just Add Heat, so I could see how that was done. Must be something likeable about them, hmm?
I got this book as a free read. I noticed it was the 2nd book, so I read the information on book one and purchased it. I read chapter one of Just add heat then chapter one of this book. They were the same except for POV. This book, Baby, it's cold outside is told from Carter's POV. Just add heat is from Justine's POV. It all begins with Justine hitting her head and getting amnesia. However, her amnesia encompasses only the last 2 years, which coincides with her relationship with Carter. While both stories are not unique, I read both stories at the same time. I got both POV's at the same time and it made the stories so much more enjoyable. The only difference in the stories are the epilogue. The epilogue in Baby it's cold outside is in Just add heat under from Ross' perspective. Read these stories together you'll be glad you did
I really liked this book and plan on reading the prequel, PreHeat, to get the cute backstory and see how Carter managed to snag Justine. But I have no desire to read book #1 because I don't need a rehash of what I've already read. I love 2 POV' s and can't help but think this whole tale could have been really great if we got to have both pov' s simultaneously rather than reading it again to get the other side of the story.
It was cute, sexy and different. The whole premise of partial amnesia for a main character in a committed relationship is fun to read and not the usual fare for conflict in romance novels. I'm just not down with the whole "companion" novel bs.
This was a really fun read! Carter has been in love with Justine since he was in high school. Justine is his sisters best friend and older then him so Justine won't give him the time of day. Years later, they finally are together and he is going to propose to her when she has an accident and get amnesia.
I really enjoy books that have different POV in them or have a companion book like this one that tells the story from the other characters point of view as I feel like it just adds so much to the story overal. Carter is a great hero and you can't help but like him and feel for him as he suffers thru Justine's amnesia. It's a really cute story with not much angst and a happy ending.
My only suggestion would be to read the Pre-Heat book which is free before you read this one or read Justines' story which is told in Just Add Heat. While you can absolutely read this as a stand alone, I think I would have liked this book even more if I had read one of those books first. Regardless, it's fun romance story!
